Position Title:
Coordinator of Summer Programs

Job Statement:
The Coordinator of Summer Programs works with senior leadership in the Division of Lifelong Learning (DLL) to create a robust and vibrant Summer University. This person leads campus efforts to develop and deliver high quality summer programs for groups such as K-12 students, incoming first-year students, international students, transfer students, and current students from underrepresented populations. In collaboration with the associate deans and other partners, this person develops summer programs that will support the academic colleges’ through discipline-based programming and cohort-building activities to promote student recruitment, retention, and success. Summer programs will include both credit and non-credit boot-camps, research learning initiatives (RLEs), institutes, pre-college, and travel-based programs, among other retention initiatives. Typical hiring range for this position is $40,500 to $54,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a 12-month, fiscal-year position.

Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree required; 3-5 years of relevant professional work experience.
Ability to envision, create and execute plans to deliver high-quality programs.
Ability to assess and perform quality improvement.
Demonstrated prior experience in project management and/or program development.
Ability to effectively collaborate and partner with leaders, faculty, and staff across departments to create and implement best practices.
Superior written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with colleagues, supervisors and customers face to face.
Must be very organized with ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously.
Ability to analyze data and assess programming activities.
Creativity and energy are highly valued.
Mature judgement and creative problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
Preferred:
Master’s Degree with 3-5 years of experience in higher education program development.
Pre-collegiate summer programming experience.
Experience working in a higher education setting, particularly in academic affairs.
